Reuse 5l Doombar mini keg ?

Hi, was browsing eBay yesterday and saw a couple of videos of guys reusing 5l mini kegs for thée homebrew, has anyone on here done this ?

That said, I seem to remember as time has passed the components became difficult to obtain.
