Hey all
I am a Dane who is moving back to Austin TX soon, and when I get there, I would like to start brewing again. I haven't done it for almost 10 years. I did it during my study of food science, so I need some advice.
I really love german hefewizens, belgian wit beer and also fruit beers now and then, so I figure thats what I would start by brewing again.
Now as I recall, your first brews are far from perfect, so I remember making quite a few beers at once, to "spread the risk" so to speak. So if I have a boring beer, I could fall back to some of the others. We are planning a housewarming party when I get to TX, I thought it would be cool to serve some good homebrew, so here is where I need some advice.
How much equiptment would you guys reccomend that I get, and is there any supplier in the US or TX that anyone would reccomend?
Also what recepies would you guys reccomend that I use? I figure it could be fun to start with 3-5 different and see how it goes.
I have done extract brewing and also all grain before, but I was not impressed with extract brewing, even though it was a lot easier.
Fire away with advice
