One of my valves is not closing and I have gotten a new poppet for it.

However none of the rachets I have tried are "deep" enough to fit over the whole valve and reach the "bolt" if you will where it joins the keg.

What can I use to unscrew the poppet valve so I an replace it?

Thanks.

You can use a 7/8" wrench- the closed end is 12 points that fit the liquid out posts. I just changed a poppet out yesterday.

I use a box end wrench they work great, it should be either 11/16 or 7/8.

riiight duh
i have an adjustable so i actually dont have any wrenchs
thats why i havent tried any
ill borrow a set and hopefully get that changed out
thanks guys

Downs I would just buy a cheap set of wrenches as you will be taking the kegs apart from time to time just for cleaning and o ring replacement.

Springer,

Good point, I've gotten by with ratchets, pliers and adjustables until now but it looks like to do things properly i should get some wrenches.

thanks
