So I'm a noob and need help. Fermentation was going outstanding from 5 hours in until 48 hours. Now activity is almost completely halted. Should I repitch and if so does rep itching effect the final flavor of the brew?

That's pretty much par for the course. I find that 2-4 days of good fermentation is all that's needed, everything else that finishes up is done slow and steady. If you're really concerned then get a sample reading and find out what gravity you're currently at so you can make a more informed choice.

Airlock activity is nothing more than a sign that excess gas is escaping from the vessel and during active fermentation it works a lot. After that there may be no visible activity but the beer is still fermenting and cleaning up. IMO you should give it a total of 10 days before checking FG.

Relax buddy. It'll be cool. Don't mess around with it, just leave it alone for at least a couple of weeks.

Yep- all fermentations are different. Some brews might have krausen for weeks, others you wont see anything at all. There's no such thing as normal.
