1) Is it a good law in Deutschland?
2) I was talking with someone about it the other day, and wasn't sure if I pronounced it properly. Not wanting to sound like a *******...does anyone know the phonetic spelling of the word?

Rine - heights - ge - boat

Is how I have heard the Germans pronouncing it.

It's not really a law anymore. If anything, it's little more than a philosophical ideaology of brewing. A kitchy novelty.

Strangely it was a law untill the mid 80s afaik.
Was mainly to stop the landlords/brewers pulling the ring out beer prices and ripping off the poor and to stop them using wheat.
