So I went to make a starter with my homemade stir plate. I used tap water and some malta goya and had the stir plate turned on to bring everything to room temp and drive off the CO2 from the malta goya. Without thinking, I just dumped my dry yeast into the mix with the stir plate running. It had a pretty good funnel mixing all the way down to the stir magnet. I did not turn off the stir plate, figured it was either dead, or fine.

So, after an unfruitful search, I am asking...did I kill the yeasties?

I did pitch it last night into a batch of Co3C, but have not been home to check on fermentation.

Thanks!

Well, while I'm not sure if it caused any damage, I have a pretty vigorous fermentation going 24 hours after pitching. Guess I need to have a homebrew and relax...:)
I'll report back if I get any off flavors. Fermenting at 65 degrees.
