Regulator Issue

So I got a dual regulator when I built my kegerator about 8 months ago. There was a minor flaw in it from the beginning but it was minor so I just went with it. You can see it below. It's the gauge that let's you know what's in the tank, so I've been able to get by with the flaw. You should be able to see by the pic but the problem is the little cardboard with the PSI numbers is bent and the needle will not put out a reading because it gets stuck on it. I want to take apart that dial and fix it so I can actually tell what's left in the tank.

How do I take apart this gauge to fix it and what is the risk of doing this in terms of having leaking in the regulator? Thanks!

If I worked at Keg Connection, I'd really be trying to contact you now -- With their logo/website right on the deformed gauge face and all.

The cap that holds the lens can be pried off. It's not easy.

I'd do one of three things:

1. Contact Keg Connection and ask if they will still replace it, if they do

2. If they won't replace it but is still useful, just live with it. A lot of people don't even use one of those gauges.

3. If it doesn't work at all and KC won't replace it for free. Close the pressure valve on the CO2 bottle and remove the gauge, try to disassemble and repair.

**BUT before you start tearing apart I'd make sure I had a plug of some sort to plug the hole in case the guage did get to damaged during the repair to be be reinstalled**

If you end up destroying it (and it didn’t work in the first place) there is nothing to lose and you could completely dismantle and figure out how those things work. But like I said have a plug ready that fits seals the hole first.
