Looks like you don't actually need the receipt.
Mine are all 10/20. Are they walez now?The link in that article was messed up, this one works:

The neck label and a photo of the back of the bottle (with the bottling date) can serve as proof of purchase.
Beers eligible for refund include:
- Bourbon County Stout Original Date Codes: 10/9/15, 10/12/15, 10/21/15, 10/22/15, 10/23/15, 10/26/15, 10/30/15, 11/4/15, 11/5/15
- Bourbon County Stout Proprietor’s Date Codes: 9/18/15
Looks like 10/6 (the date all my bottles have) isn't eligible for a refund. Which doesn't surprise me as all of those have tasted great.
That explains why the 10/6 bottle I had on Saturday tasted great. I have one bottle left, hopefully it's not one of the infected dates listed. The link in that article was messed up, this one works:

I read part of the article, now I can't access. They are guessing that it get infected during transport?
Wouldn't they all be ****ed then? Why are my 10/20 bottles special?Use porno mode in Chrome to get around their dumb paywall. This is the relevant part you're referring to:
"Ken Stout, Goose Island's president and general manager, said the brewery has worked for months to identify the source of the contaminant. Its working theory is that the lactobacillus lurked in the tanks used to transport the beer from the brewery's barrel-aging warehouse to its Fulton Market bottling facility. "

I wonder if this will serve as my proof of purchase. Been throwing the damn bottles away.
And hashtags.Needed more exclamation points.
Well at the time I didn't know they were going to turn into liquid dog farts so I was pretty stoked on the haul!Needed more exclamation points.

Could just be porn names....Seriously? Isn't the brewer Brett Porter? GI seems to have a very reductionist way of hiring. I wonder if Matt Pils and John Session are on staff, as well.

I have a case of 9/30 that is good, a bottle of 10/25 good & 5 of 10/21 that are bad. Score!
Well, my remaining 11 bottles are all 10/12, so I guess I'm getting some phat stacks. Weird thing is I had one not too long ago and it was fine. I popped one in the fridge to try tonight, it would be pretty neat if mine were more-or-less fine but I got $15 for them. Especially since I got them for <$15 each.
Drinking one right now, if I strain I can taste infection, but otherwise seems fine! Hard to know how much longer I have with them, but I think if I move them to somewhere cold they'll probably be more-or-less okay for a few more months. Seems like if you have to have an infected batch, 10/12 is the one!Well, my remaining 11 bottles are all 10/12, so I guess I'm getting some phat stacks.
