I remember back when this was first addressed on Facebook, people were asking Goose if they should hold on to their bottles or drink them ASAP. Instruction was to drink them ASAP.

I've been informed by two retailers who wish to remain anonymous that cases of Goose Island Proprietor's cost them $185, which is $15.42/bottle. Apparently Goose Island expected retailers to sell those bottles at a loss if MSRP is $14.99.

I have a case of 9/30 that is good, a bottle of 10/25 good & 5 of 10/21 that are bad. Score!

Good luck, 2/3 of the 9/30s I've opened have been bad. Pretty sure the rest of mine are the same date.

Does this mean I'm SOL even though I've already poured two stouts that taste like pennies down the drain?

Well, my remaining 11 bottles are all 10/12, so I guess I'm getting some phat stacks. Weird thing is I had one not too long ago and it was fine. I popped one in the fridge to try tonight, it would be pretty neat if mine were more-or-less fine but I got $15 for them. Especially since I got them for <$15 each.

Drinking one right now, if I strain I can taste infection, but otherwise seems fine! Hard to know how much longer I have with them, but I think if I move them to somewhere cold they'll probably be more-or-less okay for a few more months. Seems like if you have to have an infected batch, 10/12 is the one!

The 9/30 I had last night was the least "bad" of the 3 off bottles, but still not great. Maybe that's why it's not on the date list
