There is a local ice cream shop called Salt and Straw that does odd flavors of ice cream. One of them is Balsamic Strawberry Vinegar and pepper. You would think those 2 things wouldn't combo well but they do.
I want to incorporate those 2 flavors in a beer. I know strawberry is tough because it's a very faint flavor. The pepper seems easy enough.
What style would you guys choose and how would you get the strawberry flavor in the beer?
So far I'm leaning towards a blonde. A blonde wouldn't kill the strawberry flavor like a stout or porter would.
I'm also thinking sugarless Torani syrup for the strawberry flavor.
Any input would be appreciated.
