Was gonna brew tomorrow but just saw my LHBS will closed closed tomorrow due to the holiday weekend....

This is what i have on hand...
5 pounds light DME
1 pound carapils
1 pound flaked oats
1 pound Crystal 60L
1 pound Chocolate Malt
1 oz Cascade Hops
1 oz athanum hops
1 package of us-5 yeast

Would it be worth trying to figure out a recipie or should i scratch the brew day?
Ne ideas?

Lose the carapils and you have an oatmeal stout...

Edit: leave the carapils and you have an oatmeal stout too...

the dme, .5 carapils, .5 c60, the ahtanum and cascade hops, and the us-05, then get some more cascade for dry-hopping would work great for a pale ale

Well i brewed it...

used everything. Steeped all the grains for 1 hour plus the oats...

Added one ounce of cascade at 60 mins and 1 ounce of Athanum at 45 mins...
pitched the package of us-05 and its sitting in my basement

who knows how it will turn out but its quite dark

Maybe it will be something like a black ipa... but its just a experiment... not expecting much
