Recipe Check NEIPA

I have only done one other NEIPA and wanted to check my recipe before ordering my ingredients

Batch size 3.5 gal on a BIAB system. I typically end up with ~75% BH efficiency

2# Golden Promise
2# Flaked oats

8 oz lactose at flameout

3oz citra Whirlpool at 180
2 oz Nelson whirlpool at 180

1.5 oz citra dry hop at day 3
1 oz Nelson dry hop at day 3

1.5 oz citra dry hop at day 7
1 oz Nelson dry hop at day 7

Omega DIPA yeast

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

No need for lactose. Mash higher around 156 and use .25lb honey malt If you want a slightly sweeter finish. Leave lactose for milkshake IPAs

Agree you do not need the lactose unless you want to make a milkshake IPA. If you want to make a milkshake IPA you definitely need it.

I'll pile on with the idea of skipping the lactose. I've never used it in my NEIPAs.

Looking at my recipe I concur. I never used lactose , it was corn sugar .
