Can I re-pitch onto a cake that I just cold crashed?

I have a perfect opportunity but I just transferred after cold crashing and the cake/fermenter are approx 50 degrees...

I need to start rehydrating soon if I can't do this!!!!!

Thanks!!

Will I be risking shock or anything??? Plus, it's from a pale ale that was radically hopped/dry hopped... The new beer is an IPA so shouldn't I be OK???

You'd probably be best washing the yeast, and then using some in a starter for the new batch. It's not hard at all to wash yeast, there's a sticky here in the "fermentation and yeast" forum that explains how. :mug:
