Probably a lot of out of state guys who are in a membership with their drinking buddies. I sure hope these guys hook up their trustees hard. I can only imagine the pain in the ass it would be to pick up 4 or 5 cases of beer and ship it out for just one person.

That said, I look forward to trying this map before I buy.
I love the Rare Barrel because they pack everything in shippers if you ask them too, all my trustee has to do is slap a label on it and drop it to FedEx, so easy, and of course he gets a fat hookup from me.

Batch 1 was sooooo good. My personal favorite from first year, I had to trade for more.

FEED THE MONSTER
Ambassadors of Sour Release #5
Golden Sour Beer Aged In Oak Barrels With Blueberries

Two bottles of Feed The Monster are included in the 2015 Ambassadors of Sour membership. Extra bottles will be available to 2015 Ambassadors of Sour starting Tuesday, December 1st at 9:00AM Pacific through 9:00AM on Tuesday, December 8th.

Feed The Monster is a golden sour beer aged in oak barrels with blueberries. Fermented with a diverse mix of yeast and bacteria, this beer showcases flavors of both ripe blueberries and tart blueberries, undertones of lemon, and floral aromas. With twice the amount of fruit that we usually add to our beers, this might just satiate your inner monster's appetite.

I thought this was going to be a public release. I had this awhile back when they were seemingly made a **** ton of Forces Unseen and were just adding fruits to portions of the batch. This one, like most blueberry beers, wasn't terribly fruit forward which is an issue with a lot of their beers, it seems. I'm a little disappointed that this release seems a bit uninspired.

Eh, every Rare Barrel beer is pretty good...because they're all really similar. Cosmic Dust did nothing for me. You could just open a bottle of Forces, add a shot of jamaica and save yourself a few bucks.
Hsh, mos, mad plum, map of moon, even their Anni beer tasted nothing alike. And those were all pretty damn good imo.

Can't speak for the non bottled beers, but MOS was weak for an apricot beer....HSH is my favorite because it's a cinnamon bomb.

Feed The Monster is gonna be your cinnamon bomb, I am sure of it. Lol.

they say twice the amount of fruit than they normally use for feed the monster. I'm optimistic that this ones is gonna be at least somewhat juicy. Edit: looks like it's 6pp. never mind this last part. I'll buy your extras off y'all if you don't plan to get them for yourself

That new growler looks like it could fit in a 12-bottle styro shipper slot. Someone local please confirm when you get your hands on one.

Really digging those glasses. I wonder how big they are.

First sale for the year:
What | No Salt is a golden sour beer aged in tequila barrels! Fermented with Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and various other microorganisms, this sour beer blends flavors found in an aged tequila with undertones of tart lime. Our intent while blending this beer was to have nuanced flavors of tequila support the bright citrus notes in the golden sour. We’re quite confident that whether or not you enjoy tequila, you’ll appreciate the balanced, yet complex, notes derived from the tequila barrels. Deviant and refreshing, no salt is needed for this spirited sour.

I've only tried the tequila aged Dubious whatever. Didn't get much tequila character at all, so I'm not convinced this will taste any different than Forces Unseen. I was hoping different barrel treatments would help differentiate the saminess of a lot of their beers.

I was bummed I didn't renew when I saw the new glass and growler. Less bummed with that beer release.

TFW you're signing up for memberships based on glassware :p

I'm actually fairly excited for this release. Though I get more excited these days about flavors imparted strictly from the bugs (and in this case maybe some tequila) The only tequila barreled beers I've enjoyed have been sours.

Cracked an Impossible Soul the other day. Fantastic execution of tart cherries up front and sweet cherries for a slightly jammy back end. Back ends are the best when jammy.
