I guess I'm glad that I don't even know what Lync is.

They are either talking about a feline:

Or a video game:

Liked for annoying engineers, not for losing jorb. Sucks, mang.
I got a few ideas to hold me over until I win the lotto and can open my brewery :
1. The Canadian Coyote - I smuggle Canadians into America for whatever reasons. Just 2 white people driving on the highway, nothing to see here.
2. Drug running Grandmas on Vespas - Nobody would suspect a thing!
3. Become a Camwhore - I'm sure the market for fat dudes is HUGE!

Option 3 pls.

My Lync is set to "away" permanently and I decoupled it from Outlook or anything else that might allow it to show when I'm idle or not idle. The creep factor is more than I can even deal with. Besides, I travel or work remotely way too often to worry about Lync fumbling conversations between devices. It is such an awful piece of software.

That moment when you realize there are more things about beer you hate than enjoy. (Beer itself, the people, the actions and the environment/attitude that is now the norm.)

I honestly cant tell anymore if im just bitter about change and things I disagree with or if im on the verge of complete acceptance/zen/zerogivesafuckness.

The latter. Trust me you feel so much better when you just stop caring, step back, and laugh at people.

Sometimes I wonder how much of a ******** I was when I got into the scene in 2006.

I look at events and attitudes and the whole mess and realize I wasn't much better than some of whats going on now. I know I was horribly annoying to brewers and industry folk. I grew as a person (and in waist size), learned a helluva lot, matured, and eventually became close friends with many of those same people. My concern is if the culture as a whole has the ability or drive to do the same.

This is the perfect intro to another point I was going to grumble about.

This past weekend I was drug along to an event with 5 guys who are very much fresh into the scene. A riot nearly broke out, there was no beer sharing and comradery to be had. It was like everyone was there for a business purpose and not a fun social event. Most people went home empty handed and seemingly everyone was discussing the value of their new acquisitions. (Bro do you know what I can get for this? Imma sell it for $XXX or trade it for bladitty blah blah blah.)

Some of the guys I was around walked away with their heads hung having "won" nothing and all they wanted to do was drink the beers. I tried to tell them that this is not how beer releases/events are suppose to go. A real event is about having fun, sharing beer, trying new things, meeting people and going home with more beer to enjoy later either by yourself or with others. Then it dawned on me...what if this **** really has become the norm? What a shame that these guys will never experience the fun of an overnight voodoo release eating pig face drunk at 9 am...or getting shitrocked on the drunkbus to darklord day... or any of the other countless fun times where people actually drank beer and selflessly shared instead of profiteered.

The recent hobby account massacre has my jimmies all rustled. Not a fan.
Sounds like TB is growing up a bit: now out of infancy and smack dab in the toddler stage.

But somehow that ******** beeerear is still around.

edit: Trades_Potatoes lives. There is hope yet.

Which situation is worse:

1. Requesting help but the only available person is completely inept.
2. Filing a grievance and 4 months later finding out nothing has/is being done because noone took the time to actually read the information it contained.

Im experiencing both right now and im ready to tap out.

Was in a similar situation with a coworker who kept escaping getting fired. Then he had a hissy fit at work, got fired and I got a raise.

what's the over/under on number of times I masturbate thinking about the new Princess Leia?

Edit: bets are off if there is any gold bikinis in EpVII.

Edit2: let's just limit this to 2016.

Edit3: I'd start a LIF in the forums, but this doesn't seem like something that should be "on the record".
oh yeah.
by my count we're at a bakers dozen.
