I loved watching Air Disasters. unfortunately my current cable package doesn't include that channel

what I learned is most crashes are not the result of a single cause, more likely a series of cascading failures.

a design flaw + inferior material used + mechanic negligence + conflicting fault indicators + pilot error = 230 people dead

I saw that it spilled down the side, cleaned it up, didn’t notice it spilled on the seal until 2 weeks later. New seal is $130!

I'm gonna guess Star San, but only because I once left a carboy cap in it overnight, and the next day discovered it had "grown" to where it was too sloppy a fit to be used anymore - even a worm clamp wouldn't completely close it around the carboy neck :drunk:

Cheers!

Haha, when my parents built in fridge's seal wore out, the cost to replace was more than they wanted to pay... So the technician recommended Vaseline to bridge any cracks... Worked okay but definitely not a permanent solution.

Put Vaseline on the metal side, and white silicone sealant on the seal.

It’s way too shot. Should be here Monday.

Glad I have it packed full! I freeze water jugs in the unused space. More efficient than dead space, and great to keep the beer cold in the cooler out to the lake!

On the side of the freezer we had the kid’s school lunch menu, once the sanitizer hit the paper it was a black steak. The brown on the seal is probably from the cardboard box of Cheerios that I pitched....

Ok, try this again using DIY hack terminology and not what is written in the code book!

This is an old service (valve) that a plumber friend of mine from Canada sent me.

I don’t think my inspector is on here, if he saw my new terminology he’d rip me a new one!
