How are Kent Falls beers? I follow one of the partners, or whatever he is on his YouTube channel. He doesn't really involve much of the brewery though so I've always been curious.
I was super enthusiastic about Kent Falls when they first opened. My enthusiasm waned for awhile and while I still don't love them as much as I used to they're still putting out some great stuff. I could send you a small sampler box if you'd like.

They were amazing the first 6 months or so they were open to such an extent that I thought they were top 3 in Connecticut that quickly. Unfortunately though their consistency went off the rails, with many of their clean beers tasting like they had Brett or Belgian yeast when they shouldn't have and at least some of their wild beers being undrinkable.

I feel like their QC has improved but they haven't consistently returned to the highs of their launch and I'm still not able to recommend them as enthusiastically as I would have in late 2015/early 2016.
I don’t like agreeing with purephase often but I share this opinion.

Now onto something we don’t agree on:

Can a beer be bright and hazy?

Imperial, mosaic dry hop, and orange honey variants?

Dafuq is going on here

Gennycreamale please advise

Mosaic dry hop -> Imperial -> orange honey

I've read "drying to a creamy crispness" several times and I'm still trying to figure out what it means. How can something be both drying/crisp and creamy at the same time?
I would use those exact words to describe MordorMongo for his hardened exterior and soft interior. Maybe lurchingbeast, too. Not a beer.

Reading a review on da udder site

“Medium bodied and drying to a creamy crispness, the IPA holds serve with a long, bitter and fruity afterglow. But the rise of maple brings a cinnamon spice to the after palate and layers on the lingering graham cracker malts for one last visit of true french toast before the next sip beckons.”

Lmaooooo

can't someone delete the template that all these people use to write their reviews?
is there an online course that people are taking that can be banned?

is it like moving from the Midwest to the West coast where you pick up the surfer slanguage by osmosis without even realizing it?

I'd rather they just delete pastry IPAs.

I shall offer myself up as the sacrificial lamb to which everyone can toss stones at.

I still write reviews on BA. But the effort I put into it has dramatically decreased over the years. I maintained hope for the longest time that Gene would come up with something for me to migrate all my content over here but I guess that dream has **** the bed. So I still have to maintain some composure on BA if I want to keep somewhere to easily reference my thoughts on a beer.

I still occasionally read some of your reviews on BA.

I appreciate the offer, but have nothing worth reciprocating with. Unless you want some really bad montana IPAs.

Well that dude I made that image of with a bunch of his ridiculous **** talking challenged me to a boxing match. He was being serious.

I have no idea what you’re talking about but I think you should provoke another stranger into wanting to box you and then set up both strangers to box each other with each one thinking you are their opponent.

That's the guy who got escorted out of Wakefest by the cops for constantly going up to people immediately after they had won the raffle bottles and waving cash in their faces offering to buy them (at a much lower price than he would proceed to sell them for online, of course). At some point one dude got pissed at him being right there in his face the second the bottle touched his hands, there was a shoving match, and he was tossed.

No wonder he got so mad originally, I said Wakefield wasn't in the same stratosphere as Odd Breed and he flipped his ****. Got to protect that secondary value.

Any one have any experience with this uh "beer"..... DIPA with maple syrup and cinnamon

Haven't had that, but I did try their Double Toasted Marshmallow nonsense when it showed up. Crappier than the gimmick IPAs I've had from Omnipollo (like Shploing, their mango smores ipa). It was my third and final shot with them. Won't be buying their garbage going forward.

Speaking of Odd Breed, this was one of the best new AWAs I've had in a while:

Much more interesting, complex, funky flavor profile than is typical, but without going too far in that direction into the "overwhelming brett funk" territory that some American brett beers hit. The acidity was definitely there but was never excessive. Reminded me of some of the better Side Project wild ales like Saison de Fermier Pinot Noir.
