I am going to wait for JulianB to keep us all informed on the matter

You're going to be waiting a while, as I'm actually not sure what he's talking about. Did you just happen to miss my post above? Whatever it is hasn't floated into my now beer-group-depleted feed.

Wow, I can maybe shed a dim light on this despite being in virtually zero FB groups lol!
This came across my desk while I went from meeting to rushed lunch to meeting to another meeting today

wiltznucs didn't you win last year?

Also going to take a wild guess that the resident shitlord is BlumBeer

Well if y'all are going to cheat maybe it's time North Coast got a win. Everyone loves old Rasputin right?

It's silly that I'm even bothering to catch up on a thread when I'm 3238 messages back, but I have some kind of OCD so silly as it may be, I'm still going for it. All while I'm still catching up on SF and now Catalina 5 or whatever... Anyway...

Typically, no, they don't have lines. Let's keep fingers crossed it stays that way.

But a few months ago, they made a beer for Run the Jewels when the group was here for a few shows. Since RTJ is super popular, there was a line.

They just re-released it but also with a fancy new glass:

So there was a line for those as well. Was to be expected. Glasses are sold out. Had a feeling they wouldn't last but was hoping maybe they would, so I could grab one for my pal. Oh well. At least she got to try the beer.

nathanmiller -- I hope you got this for all the obvious reasons.

No!! Believe it or not, I missed this and it is one of my life's greatest regrets! I wish I had this teku. It's an amaaaazing teku. I adore RTJ. And the beer was great too... :(

This was cooler when I was rigging the internet polls for "whats ur FAVORITE POKEMON" on my Geocities website back in 1998.

A major shot across the bow...for what? Winning best new brewery at a Huna Day is the equivalent of winning a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award.

I'd like to know what the first thing was he knew he "could count on you" for. I believe that's the real tea here.

It has to be because I don't give a **** about huna day or weak shots across the bow from "can't know its me" Mead homies.

Was this voting thing really a secret? I feel like multiple places do this every year. Also, it’s the entire business modelmofmUntappd and Yelp.

Voting through an app for best brewery at a beer festival is dumb.

Trying to rally neckbeards in private conversations to stuff the ballot box as a "shot across the bow" is even dumber.

How much do breweries really care about trade value? If I owned a brewery I'd do everything in my power to **** over the people who are trying to **** me over in the secondary market. Probably a good thing I don't own a brewery.

I'm curious...how are people who buy a beer ******* over the brewery in the secondary market?

If a high trade value sells my products out via huge lines paying premium prices..... Im for that, if I owned a brewery.

It hypes up their stuff. Look at how much some sad some breweries try to hype their stuff on a daily basis.

Huna Day falls on my birthday every once in a while (or every 6 years) and it happens to be this year.

I'm glad I had a sip of it at Beer Camp last year instead of ever flying down for that. Or trying to trade for it.

Meh to a T.

Huna itself is not the reason to go to Huna day.

Not even in the slightest.
