Both brothers seem weird. Both brothers beer is over priced and generally it sucks

I might not have cared for a few years

One brother ruined a beer place i used to enjoy. Not only beer wise, but the once ace murals at the Trappist Provisions were destroyed with horrendous Mikkeller ***** graphics on the walls

Beer wise it is barely worth going in anymore, so i do not.

I know that Mikkel was the first of the two to brew, but isn't Jeppe the original beer brother? Pretty sure Ølbutikken was open for 2-3 years before a single Mikkeller beer was ever bottled.

Yes, from what I understand Ølbutikken was the original bar that sold Mikkeller beer and they had a fairly symbiotic relationship for a while. Then a Mikkeller bar was opened nearby and the "feud" was started. At least that's how the story goes, I think. Jeppe has since done a lot of (in my opinion) absolutely ridiculous **** that makes me not want to support him, outside of his obviously outlandish prices...

Care to elaborate? I can't say I've paid much attention to him beyond taking notice when we get a new Evil Twin shipment.

One of his bars decided to try to discredit a major (newly hyped) lambic blender on facebook with what was a misquoted/error filled article, by essentially trying to say he doesn't produce real/traditional lambic. The real reasoning is largely because all of said blenders beers are sent to mikkeller bars and not evil twin bars, and Jeppe has seemingly decided to make it his personal goal to try to discredit said lambic blender. He got aggressive on the post and started messaging and shitting on people who disagreed with him, as he generally likes to do. Add in all the ******** he pulls by calling out and making fun of/making memes about random untappd users who rate his beers poorly, and I have really 0 interest in supporting Evil Twin.

What beer is being released today on Capitol Hill in DC?

Didn't any of these amateurs set up a folding chair to hold their spots in line?

last dude on the left, that's Danny from Bloodlines on Netflix isn't it?

That's broadly spot on but

a misquoted/error filled article

The article was good, but there was one reference to inoculating wort with yeast that was clearly aimed at the layman rather than the specialist (understandable given that it was in Flanders Today, not All About Beer). Your man from Himmeriget willfully ignored that and distorted it into what ended up on Facebook.

The exclusive availability of Bokkereyder a few hundred yards away from Himmeriget at the Mikkel-backed Koelschip, which did a brisk trade throughout the previous week, may be a factor here. *looks to camera*

I was specifically referring to Mikkeller San Diego. They've been open for what now, like a year? And they kind of surprised everybody by making some really good beer. So I'm hoping Jeppe does that, instead of releasing the cans of asparagus radler or whatever that we're all expecting.

Honestly I can't even remember the last time i bought an Evil Twin beer, the awful prices are enough to keep me away.

The only things I've found that are worth the price are Falco (if you can find it fresh...good luck as they don't can date), and BA Biscotti Break.

Now that you mention it, I remember that ********. It was over Copy Paste IPA if memory serves.

RE: lambic, I assume we're talking about Bokkereyder? I see from later comments we are.

The way it sold out immediately at Beer Authority in Seattle today it kinda doesn't exist.

Please make more. These four cans won't last me long.
Historically the 3 Ways have been available for months, but this one may get swept up by the hype train. I really hope it doesn't, but I guess we'll find out.

Yeah, I've never had a problem getting 3-Way through September (found some 2014 in October of that year and was stoked beyond belief) in the past, but people lose their **** for juice. This is why we can't have nice things.

The first time this many dudes ralked about having no problems getting a 3-way.
Crushed it.
