So essentially Side Project is now producing cans of hoppy beer. This should be entertaining.

Wasn't my post. ;)

To be somewhat fair, the brewery actually responded to that guy sending them a message pretty quickly and let him know it was a flaw in the can/packing process itself (not unheard-of on a canning line, obviously), not because the beer refermented in the can. That would have been pretty ridiculous (a level of refermentation that would explode a can in a matter of hours), plus if the can had actually exploded for that reason it would have presumably been in the manner where it expands and then blows the lid off, not leaks from the sides/base. It's still kind of funny though, because of how it occurred with a beer where they specifically warned people about the possibility, even if it's for an unrelated reason.
I know this was a while ago so you may have an answer already just wanting to throw in loose change. Usually a can defect, dented or weak and if ran through PAC tech machine it can further compress and expose the weakness along with the co2 already adding a constant pressure resultin in a blowout.

Thank the beer dark lords it is back. This beer is what I think many people really wanted from the longest time. A collaboration with Three Floyds of Indiana to use their Dark Lord making skills at creating a massive beer with the Black Tuesday lords at the The Bruery. They have come together once again to create this literal liquid chaos of sense engulfing darkness. Now all I have left to say is how it can compare to however my brain can remember from the original. The best part is that it will not go bad! So cheers and hope you can get one, I am recommending it right off the bat!

Come the **** on with all those aromas. Good grief.

I assume by the way it is written that the author isn't a native English speaker. I also assume him decently removed from up to date US craft beer *******. Might be wrong though.

Craft beer has jumped the shark. First it's all these "juice" and "fruit puree" beers and now this happens.

Oscar Blues has a beer brewed at their NC brewery called "Hoppy Floppy" and it's named after a user on instagram that just shows her ****s with whalez. Now, I like ****s as much as the next guy who likes ****s but this is just stupid.

Beer jumped the shark spring of 2012 and before that, 2009. Probably a bunch of times in the early 2000's and late 90's as well but I was strictly drinking Southern Comfort and King Cobra.

Tried Lizard of koz the other day, expecting it to be a total mess based on some of its ratings, and it was ******* delicious. I don't get the hate. Maybe a little less blueberry next time.

I thought it was pretty beetus-ariffic. And by that I mean disgusting as ****. Too sweet and candy like for me.

Snipes Mountain did an Imperial Stout made with saison yeast and blueberries called Terror in the Wood a few years ago which was actually pretty damn good, though.

Had Blueberries Feel Pain from Off Color last evening with a bunch of folks, and the resounding thought was "this smells / tastes like ketchup or BBQ sauce" which I've only ever gotten before from some homebrew sours that sat on the yeast for far too long.

Is that something that can happen with autolysis?

TNGabe?

Interesting. I did not get any such character either time I had it. It is however, quite a middling beer for Off Color.

"My Blueberry Nightmare" from Birrificio Del Ducato tasted exactly like BBQ sauce to me. It's an imperial stout base with chilis that's barrel-aged with blueberries and bacteria.

Had this at a Zwanze Day a few years back, and it was revolting in a straight balsamic vinegar kind of way to me. Some folks enjoyed it.

Those people are wrong.

Maybe? That's not a classic autolysis desctiptor, although maybe it is for a blueberry beer. When you say 'ketchup or bbq sauce' that makes me think umami and dead yeast certainly have that, so combined with blueberries which tend to add a non-descript acidity and sure, makes sense to me.
