So this isn't directed at anyone in particular here, and not toward the Toppling Goliath KBBS & Assassin release at all. However, the backlash has given me some things to ponder. Namely, the fact that my father (who did 31 years in law enforcement) wouldn't be working his current gig as an assistant brewer / handyman at a local brewery without the background he gained by getting involved in craft beer / going to events and limited releases / going to tastings with his son 5+ years ago. And he will tell anyone who listens (and those that don't) that he is having a much better time in his second career than he ever had in his first one.
While some of the folks who are having family mule for releases might want to ease back on the social media posting about it, I'm personally not in the camp that is going to bring out the pitchforks to bitch about seeing folks with their parent / s in lines at events.
I save that anger for breweries who sell kettle sours for $25+ a bottle and the canned IPA hazy nonsense.
