This is great

First to tick JoeLikesBeer's CreamCumber from his newly opened Little Spokane River Brewing. It's delicious.

Is this real or another Red Peak situation?

I'll be in Seattle again soon, so ... (checks Google Maps for Seattle to Spokane) ... nevermind.

I remember going to some market in Santa Rosa and they kept it in the back, 1 bottle per. Like what? Brewery is down the street.

At this point, I'm using people who go apeshit over Pliny as a model of what not to do.

Bro drinking Pliny: "Let's go to ____ bar after this!"
Me: "Awesome, that's the bar to avoid."

And then there are those who think they're above it because they're obsessed with Blind Pig instead...

I'm going to be that guy and say I'll order a BP over Pliny since BP is so much harder to find, and also I prefer lighter beers to heavier ones. But then again my join date is 2015 so I may as well be a new money whore....oops
I prefer Blind Pig over Pliny too - although the last couple times I've had both beers at Toronado, they tasted nothing like I remember it from even a few months ago.

Tree House is great and all. However I'll wait until they open up that massive plant for extra distro before I ever trade up for what the TH locals want for some juiced up IPA. The butt hurt when distro hits gas stations around MA will be deep.

Semantics but MA doesn't allow beer sales at gas stations.

I really can't wait to see the shitlords that sell it get all butt hurt.

I wonder if it will be as good. Toppling Goliath hops were a rare treat until they started contracting out. The cans are now easy to get and not bad but not the same at all.

I don't care as long as it punches the Tree House locals' thoughts of trade hype in the dick. ****, their neckbearding, along with so many other places, is annoying.

The r-value between brewing a good pilsner and being a good overall brewery has to be well above 0.9.

Brewing a good helles would put that number squarely at 1.

I fully buy into the idea that you should be able to judge a brewery by their pale and porter: beers that are harder to hide technique and process flaws with ingredients. For lagering breweries, pils is a necessary step as well.

I've been hyping them in the FIB thread but my local brewery- Kinslahger, who are lager centric- is currently brewing my favorite pils. Hops are more prevalent than the style guide might call for, but that counters the lager sweetness and makes an incredibly drinkable beer. Crowlers help.

Is victory a good overall brewery? I have a hard time saying that sometimes but fresh prima is outstanding
Victory had a special place in my heart. First brewery I ever toured. Go there every year with the wife. Old horizontal was a huge favorite of mine.

That being said I don't remember the last time I had a regular beer from them.

Also I miss Hop Wallop
