There's a brewery here in Texas that just brewed a beer with ramen noodles.

So they used wheat, but made it less convenient? Great idea.

Adding a huge pile of alkaline salts to the mash definitely sounds like a really good idea.
Even if it's not, just pitch some lacto (regardless of whether they'll survive), call it a Japanese gose, and move on.

Looks like this is also a thing that that brewery does:

Small brewery here did some bizarre beer spin class a year or so ago.

I like my beer with a slight hint of E.coli

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3991685/

The Enterobacteriaceae phase starts after 3 to 7 days of fermentation, proceeds until 30 to 40 days, and is characterized by Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli and Hafnia alvei as the most frequently isolated bacteria.

Drink your lambic to get your slight of E Coli ;)

Maybe, but that **** is on shelves here in California now too. Given the level of dumbshit new money Cali traders you could get a 4pk of kbs for a Midwest shelfie bomber.
Wut. What magical shelves are you looking at? KBS sells out faster than PnB around here.

(Meanwhile, a few places are still selling BCBS by the case.)

Came across it at a few random spots. It'll drop next month again with the new release. Prob even more this time around as well. Funny enough, I prefer FBS over KBS.

Hot damn Tweak is on point this year. Would love to try it side by side with some non-infected BCBCS but alas...won't happen. If you have not picked up a bottle yet, you should.

I think it's better. I had BCBCS at the Backcountry anny party, which I think was 2015 and 2016 Tweak is better, IMO. They upped the coffee this year and it really smooths it out. The 17% ABV is very well hidden.

I'm just having flashbacks of Wakefield on this.
Also, isn't mead the same exact thing as honey wine?

As I mentioned previously, this process will take a while. I fully recognize that it may be 2017 before our meads are available commercially.
Used this one before in the JWB thread but it's the gift that keeps on giving.....

While some of the parameters may sound similar, the chasm between the two protagonists in this case and that one couldn't be wider.

I generally don't want anything to do with these kinds of projects but I'm considering this one, not sure I can plunk down the cash at the moment though. I am 100% confident that wiltznucs is going to run it in basically the complete opposite way to the OGs Society.

Agreed. I met wiltznucs last Hunahpu, and he has been nothing but awesome during his process from homebrewer to here. He's been extraing and trading bottles out in a FB group I run. While past results are not indicitave of future performance, I have had the product he has done so far, and it is awesome. He has really rigorous quality standards. I expect great things.

Howdy everyone, yep that's my campaign.

The specter of the OG Society has loomed large as we considered using crowdfunding. Especially right here in Florida. John is a friend of mine and it goes without saying that he could have managed the situation better. John will be the first to admit it too. We could self finance and have even had capital offered to us. In the end I liked the idea of connecting to our customers from day one and not having to answer to an investor. In this way we can do what we want no matter how crazy without the scrutiny of an outside interest.

Through the OG I learned a lot about managing customer expectations, the importance of communication and delivering on your promises. You have my assurance that the "Garagiste Owners" will enjoy complete transparency and ongoing communication. Moreover, as our most engaged customers it's my intent to make sure the bottles you get are the most mindblowing I can create.

We want to be the people's Meadery and for our supporters to enjoy in our successes as well as our missteps. Which is why we chose the name "Owners", it was built by you and for you.

To be sure there's some obvious similarities in the layout of the campaign. With that in mind, that's where the similarities end.

To those who've joined you have our sincerest gratitude. It's going to be a fun ride and we're glad to have you along!
