Ignored that beer for a while but then was out in Chicago one night before a wedding and this bar we went to had that and Daisy Cutter as their only non-****** options. Gained a great new respect for both that night. Good stuff.

For years the most predictable comment people made was "sours are the next big thing in beer, which is great because the hop arms race is so stupid. Beer is about to get more refined and respected as a result".

It was finally coming true in a sense... and then suddenly everyone wants cans of cloudy hop water from a brewery that is a fart pun.

I hope commentators enjoy explaining why in their magazines and blogs .

Can we talk about this absolute pile of bollocks?

As someone who has piled on the love of a number of fruit ladden Gose, I feel okay in calling this atrocity out as an abobination. This is terrible, I always thought I might not get this, so I only grabbed 2 bottles. But I really did not like this, the flavours clashed so badly.

Currently thinking about throwing second bottle against a wall. **** I hated this.

Your passionate anger towards this beer has persuaded me to hate it too, even though I have not yet tried it.

Dude, seeing FBS freely available is still reason enough to get psyched.

Fair enough. I only went to one store and saw All-Day and Azacca IPA, so I didn't snag any. If I saw some singles of FBS, I'd probably buy one...to add to the stash of 7 or 8 FBS going back as much as 4 years that I'm unintentionally "cellaring".

Don't cellar those.

Right. I'm not cellaring them. I'm "cellaring" them. When you add the quotes, it means that you the bought beer with the intention of drinking it soon but never got around to it, and now it's probably ruined.

See, e.g., 60% of my "cellar".

I thought it was pretty solid for a decently priced shelf sour ale. Certainly better value than any/all of Avery's 12oz sour bottles.

Not sure if I am thinking of the same beer bit I swear I saw Avery Raspberry Sour in a 22oz at my local watering hole. I inquired at the price but scoffed when I was told it was $19.50. No thanks... I left with some fresh Daisy Cutter and NN cans.

I paid $13 for one, which for a 22oz AWA I thought was decently priced. Most Avery 12oz sours cost as much or more.

I would have bought the bottle for $13. I probably would have even paid $15 without much thought but $19.50 was more than I was willing to spend.

It's pretty weird seeing Founders on the shelf in SoCal after all these years. Six-years-ago me would have been totally psyched.

Founders needs to get their **** together and start distributing in MD. They've only been teasing since 2011 or so

Founders Imperial Stout is a great example of a standard American imperial stout, one of the best of its style.

Why the **** they don't put it in barrels and release that instead of putting out barrel aged black IPAs I have no idea.
And instead of producing the **** out on one of the best mosaic pale ales ever made and spreading it across the land, let's produce a chamomile and jasmine kölsch for lulz.

As a 12 year old I drank a bunch of this, I paid people to go in the offy(liqour store) to buy it for me. I loved it.

Never given it a thought in 25 years, until this.
