We cool brah, I thought maybe you inferred that from what I wrote. Agree there's a happy medium there and, like you, I enjoy trying new stuff/stuff from other places. I just no longer make it a priority, especially for the out of distro stuff. I can't even keep up with all the new breweries and beers around Denver, let alone trying to figure out the rest of the country.

I’ve gotten to the point where my beer drinking mostly consists of walking to Societe after work and having my favorites. Tried to do the go-to-every-new-brewery thing but got untenable once we went over 100.

In this case, Aviator which is a mediocre North Carolina brewery that makes a lineup of utterly forgettable (but not actively awful) canned beers, is releasing a 15% "Belgian Imperial Triple aged in foeders". I understood maybe 5% of that, from what I gleamed they are selling canned jet fuel that spent some time in a big ass french barrel?

Devils Nightmare is a Belgian Imperial Triple Ale. It's a very strong Belgian style that tastes very light and hides the alcohol well- it's at 14.99% ABV. Brewed with pilsner and dark malts

Yeah, I am getting to that point almost subconsciously...every time I go out for beer, instead of hitting up a new place I gravitate towards my favorite breweries anyway and then think well, maybe next time I'll check out that new place...

The hard part about Denver is that it's almost impossible to not find a brewery within walking distance to amazing food and probably another awesome bar. The only exception being Comrade in my eyes, but going there is worth the drive on it's own.

I can't imagine anyone being interested in this. I heard from samples that this beer isn't turning out how they'd hoped (and frankly, the way they hoped it would turn out wouldn't even be worth buying). However, that brewery has the growing town of Fuqua NC wrapped around their finger. Dumb rednecks will drink this beer in droves

Yes, Chirba Chirba and Cousins Maine Lobster Food Trucks" because it informed me that Cousins Maine Lobster truck is apparently a chain since there's one here too. A food truck chain. And to think that only like ten years ago, white people were literally afraid of food trucks. Trendy!

I mean, yeah it didn't taste like grain alcohol or anything, but neither do 14% wines.

Current hot styles in beer: Low abv that don't taste like it, and high abv that don't taste like it.

Just start a campaign so that nobody trustees for the people not attending. That way you can scoop up the scraps and dude gets paid twice!

Had it on tap @ a 1/2 off happy hour, so I wasn't that bummed, but I'm glad I didn't buy a $9 bomber.
