It says there's a Boston release on the list but no info yet. I hate that I'm curious but I have never had one of these nonsense beers (well yes I have but not Omni crazy) and I need to see just how out of balance this is

Whats the deal with Omni? I have them in a Evil Twin kinda category (lots of ingredients, lots of dollars, unremarkable brews) but I forgot why and I might be completely wrong.

$20 four packs from they brewery when they brewed it here in CT with the Twelve Percent Beer Project.

I liked it.

Apparently the Publican National Committee will be re-brewing a big new batch of PNC at Firestone Walker tomorrow.

All I can say is that a top 3 beer of all time for me. I hope they can catch that lightning in a bottle a second time.

From my understanding they’re brewing two new PNCs. I don’t think they will necessarily be the same as batch one but I’m not 100% on that.

There are a lot of beers where it seems like I'm the only one in the world who didn't particularly care for it, PNC is one. It was just an utterly unremarkable Firestone BA beer, like any of the dozens they pump out.

Facebook reminded me that 10 years ago today I bought a case of Guinness' 250th Anniversary Stout. I actually still have one bottle around for I guess novelties sake.

But I believe the oldest beer I have in the house is a 2007 Dogfish Head Olde School Barleywine.

Funny story, when I found them I posted them to the Saranac FB page. He actually had one year that they did not have any bottles of for whatever reason, I wanna say it was 1983, anyways, I have doubles, so I offered them one. I took it down to the gift shop at the brewery since i am local and they gave me 5 cases of Utica Club for it lol.

I used to have a lot older ones (that I drank, oops!) but most of my older ones are Jester King bottles. Still have quite a few from 2012-2013. Atrial batches just seemingly keep getting better year-to-year particularly.

Might have a 2007 WWS stashed away somewhere, but I pretty much have given up aging past 5 years. It just doesn't work out too much of the time.

it's beer in 2019, we're post needing to taste beer to have an opinion on it. that's sooooo 2015.

having an opinion on a beer based solely on having read an ingredient list is the new hotness.

in 2020 we're going to judge based on the bottle font. if it's not Lucida i'm not even going to give the bottle a look on a shelf because i'll know it's trash.

I hear you about that. I found that old KBS in particular was not as good as fresh stuff.

I think the oldest bottle I have is a 2002 JW Lees but I bought it like a couple years ago. After that I have a 2009 Boulevard Brett Saison and a bottle of Piraat bought in 2019 that got lost in the back of the pantry that I intend to open this year but will probably forget.

I have a bottle of Westy of an indeterminate age, based on the cap it's mid-80's to early 90's. So either that or a 1990 JW Lees depending on how old the Westy actually is...

I opened a few bottles of this back in 2013 or so and it was chunky, lol. Very gross.
