Daaaaaamn. ****** if I know, I don't drink that garbage.

Every brewery making a pastry stout right now should be required to send Southern Tier a cut of their profits. The Blackwater series was prescient in what it turns out everyone wanted. And though I haven't had one in probably 7-8 years, I bet they're just as good as whatever Oreo-peanut butter ******** people are lining up for this weekend.

My "Southern Tier Pumking" story is not something that happened to be but to my brother-in-law and his cousin.

They were both big fans of the beer. One year (maybe 2013/2014) they both happened to be in a beer distributor on like the same day or close to it. This being Pennsylvania at the time it was hard to get certain beers in quantities below a case. So both happened to be at a beer distributor when Pumking recently came in. They both decided to buy a case for themselves and buy a case for the other as a gift. When one told the other what they did they realized they both spent like $160 on two cases of Pumking for themselves.

I don't recall ever seeing them buy Pumking ever again.

O. Henry IRL.

Now, do you want a beer made with these ingredients brewed by the likes of Dogfish Head or a beer made with the actual bread made by the likes of Omnipollo?

LOL. I think the former, but by a brewery that does German styles well. Wayfinder or Heater Allen in OR, or Metropolitan in Chicago would probably be my first choices.

I would trust Dogfish Head more because Omnipollo would get off track and you'd end up with a cinnamon roll swirl Girl Scout thin mint beer barrel aged in tequila barrels on the deck of a recreation of the USS Mayflower.

You act like you have never done blow with a hooker off a carved gourd replica of the Mayflower. Live, Lutter, live damnit.

This food cart outside of Oakshire Brewing in Eugene, OR blew up yesterday.

Relevant to the thread, the concussion from the explosion either caused kegs to explode or turned on the taps at the brewery. I haven't been able to find a confirmation, but sounds like they lost some beer.

Holy ****, that video is insane. I hope no one was inside or in the blast radius.

Nope. Nobody was injured. Luckily it was early on a Sunday morning. Otherwise, it could've been real bad.

That is sooooo lucky. If the only damage was the destroyed food cart, presumably some damage to the brewery building and some lost beer, that is a wonderful result.

Yeah IDK why this one is getting all the attention. I think i first saw about it from like Delish or some **** so must be a national outlet just picked it up and ran with it.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. At first I assumed it was an actual collaboration with whoever makes Lucky Charms cereal (General Mills?), but then reading the description it appears to just be yet another dumb IPA with marshmallows in it and stolen intellectual property on the label art.

dontdrinkbeer and I discussed this a while ago, but it's amazing how much of a correlation there is between the "hazy IPA/kettle sour/sweet stout with a bunch of **** added to it" segment and the "stolen IP/trademark infringement" segment, especially in California.

Re: that Lucky Charms beer, it apparently was featured in some news piece in Chicagoland as well because I had a family member reach out to me asking if it would be distributed in this area on Saturday.

This person doesn't even drink beer and they wanted a 4pack.

No worries, that god awful Pop Tart Pale Ale from 21st amendment is. Offer them that.
