I had to taste a soured Scotch Heavy in my Cicerone exam... it sucked.

I didn't know they even had a sour/BA program. Where do they have room for one with all those industrial grade juicers taking up space?

They recently bought a huge production facility south of Rochester NY. Similar to what Singlecut did in Albany NY. So they both operate two facilities.

I ******* hate wee heavies. But Scots Gone Wild is one of my favorite beers ever. Srs.

If you didbt live in Polynesia Id send you some.

Priority flat rate boxes have been a life-saver. $18 for large flat rate box, and it gets here in 2 days.

Keep your beer though, I have too much. Sure I'll get to try it at some point.

$30 a bottle at the brewery. Is there a multiplier shitlords use?

Mostly curious because DFH is not even on most #newmoney shitlords' radar, I would imagine. I'm not at all involved in the trade game, so it doesn't matter to me, but I love to see how some of this madness goes down.

Trading for Dogfish Head is a very 2007-ass thing to do.

Most shitlords were prolly still drinking yoohoo back then.

I'm surprised it took them this long to get in on the "exclusive brewery only" high priced release ******** game. Sales must be slowing down on all the ******** gimmicky beers they've been putting out the last decade or so.

yeah, their strategy to pump-up sales is to make $18,000 in bottle sales on a Saturday every now and then and not from putting out low-calorie beers.

They've been doing brewery releases for a while.

How long is a while? I only recall a couple of them within the last 6-12 months.
There's been at least 6 releases that I recall in the past year, I know they had their EBF beer, barrel aged 120 (not the same as this rye version) and several beers from their wild program. They do a small release for their EBF beer every year.

Manufacturing hype is manufacturing hype.
Not sure what you expect them to do as a business, just roll over and die?

I never said anything of the sort. All I said was I'm surprised it took them this long to do this sort of thing and that I think (no actual idea) that maybe their sales are declining which could result in them doing this kind of thing now.
