I want to be in the courtroom when they get laughed out of there. This reeks of a publicity stunt.

BRB. Shotgunning "Stone Light" cans.

"Are we doing this for the publicity? No."
We just decided to shoot up this glossy lawsuit announcement video and release it.......... as a matter of principle.

Not to mention they hyped this announcement for like a week ahead of time, probably trying to get their fanbase to get all excited thinking it was a beer release or something.

I went over to BA to see the reaction and this is largely going over like a lead balloon (aside from some measured discussion on the legal merits of Stone's case), which suggests it's a real failure on Stone's part. Usually over there they are all to eager to cheerlead any attempt to stick it to big beer, but most of them are seeing through this as the lame publicity stunt it is.

Apex Predator gets a lot of love but I'm also partial to their Troublesome Gose and Yuzu Fierce, especially. I've joked that if I win the lottery I want a mainline of Yuzu Fierce sent straight to the house. That one is also plenty good if old. I still have a dusty bottle from the first bottled release somewhere.

Spot was pretty fantastic too.

Yuzu fierce is the GOAT doe.

Weird, this ad campaign is the first time I can ever remember hearing Keystone in any of it's forms referred to as 'Stone.

As far as who actually has the stronger legal case goes, I'll leave that to the lawyers to parse out. What's this one come down to, who has the relevant registered trademarks, or is there some additional subtlety?

Stuff like this makes me see Stone's point of view:

That right there totally produces brand confusion.

That said, that video is just awful, and clearly is a publicity stunt. As JulianB said, I will leave it to the experts, as I have no idea who owns what trademark, but I think they wouldn't be getting so much **** if not for that terrible video.

This is all making the Dilly Dilly IPA renaissance fair scroll reading gimmick actually funny. Is macro better than "micro" at trolling and playing nice?

What is second use fruit? And why am I starting to see this more often? What was the first use of the fruit?
What Jester King does is after emptying Atrial barrels rather than dumping the fruit they just refill with a new beer on top of it (La Vie en Rose). I like it much better the second time usually.
