Dalessandro's

I'd rather have a panini, pickles, and some bread and butter from the Brew Cafe. Or **** it, just give me like 3 orders of bread and butter.

33 cans of diabetic IPA is still way more than anyone should be drinking. That's still a terrible explanation.

I thought I'd had a lot of this year's 3-Way (16 or 17 cans since it released at the beginning of June), but then I saw someone mention on a local Seattle Facebook group that they had drank 50 cans within the first few weeks of it's release. Clearly some people drink wayyyyy more than I figured.

Also kinda dumb because Lupulin threshold shifting is a super real thing. Gotta mix it up.

I see so many people posting their hauls from Treehouse, Trillium, etc., and I always wonder how someone can drink that much hoppy beer. Especially of the NEIPA variety. I'm "friends" with people on Untappd who seemingly only drink hoppy beer. Multiple cans of NEIPA several nights per week.

I wonder if lupulin threshold shift isn't as bad with NEIPA due to the lower bitterness? I have no idea...

i know we're not supposed to talk about it and all but.. i'd guess some people here are knocking out 8-12 beers a night and not batting an eye.

50 cans in a few weeks is nothing

Well, 50 cans a week is certainly something someone could choose to consume, but I wouldn't say it's nothing...

The reasoning of "for family and friends" is so stupid. If I had to guess most friends and family members don't care about your little hobby and you waiting for hours and working out dozens or trades for some flavor of the week NEIPA. If you are that close with these people cracking open regular shelf turd beers will mean more than them having to hear about how much effort you went through to get this beer. These people are just looking for verbal hand jobs from everyone for being "so nice and generous".

I am not saying don't share beer, or grab some extras for friends, family, etc. But getting uhaul loads of beer that you drove 3+hrs to and then stayed inline for countless hours is not impressive or some shinning example of friendship. I think it just shows your motive of wanting everyone to be so grateful and impressed by you, same with posting the hauls along with a description of your long and weary journey.

A lot of them just try and trade for the following/previous week's cans locally.

FT: Pic (last week's Alter, etc)
ISO: This week's Haze

I know there are bunch of chuckledicks constantly sitting on old beer they bought to trade and couldn't, but I think these trades get done pretty regularly.

The allotment per person was 12 cans. On one hand he's an ****** for getting all of that PLUS saying that 33 of them "for him" was not a lot. On the other hand he had to have made trades with 15-20 people for however many of their allotment to get to his total haul. I guess Kudos to him for getting it done.

I'm sure he felt like this after it was all said and done:

But him trying to justify not being an ****** is all:

I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue, but if i drink too many of these hazy ass IPA's, i get really bad farts the next day, and sometimes diarrhea, which is ironic because it looks like i am drinking diarrhea

That's because you're not supposed to drink the contents of the cone in a conical.

Sounds like Jeppe's next project collab. He'll call it CONEical. Spent yeast trub fermented (supposedly) with ice cream cones. 16 oz cans release at tired hands. Camping chairs encouraged.

****, thank you for conveying this is more eloquent words than I could have. This is exactly why **** like this irks me. It's like if you bring a bottle of Pappy to your friends who only drink Jack - really, are you going to tell them to enjoy the mellow notes of oak, charred vanilla, and carob, and then go on a diatribe about its rarity and history?

Rule of thumb: if there's a moderately douchey story behind your "gratefulness," it's probably not a good enough reason to share it.

I dunno either. I brought a bunch of TH, trillium, alchemist home from my NE trip last month, gave a good amount of it away, and I'm still sick of NEIPA now. Luckily I have a case of House beer...
