$100K+ in fakes. I can't wait to see where this goes...

It won't go anywhere other than some threats. I guess a fool and his money is a saying for a reason.

I wonder how many opened up that $2000 bottle and thought this is ****, but wouldn't admit it. I wonder how many opened it and thought how great it was.

I have second hand left hand no look word of mouth evidence that this exists at both Two Roads and Southampton. Stay tuned forever and when the 200 bottles are released you will get nothing.
When 2R released Framboise Noir (Feb 2016?) I was told "just wait until November when the actual SHBRL rebrew is ready"

Dbijnagte sacrelicio is Stephen Shackleton one of the Shorewood liquor guys that participates in the bourbon secondary market?
Yep! Shack offered to sell a bottle to Mista, then told him he'd need to break the seal. When he agreed Shack got mad and refused to sell it. He has his employees and friends put his bottles up for sale on secondary for him.

wait, does this re-selling thing work with weed? essentially it was someone else's first and i'm just re-marketing and selling it as a collectible, right?

According to the ATF it's fine. Or at least I can't see why it wouldn't be based on my exchanges with them about various resale websites. I guess they consider it taxed on first sale, and anything after that is just collectibles.

But still, if it's 100k+ in fraudulent bottles, yeah, someone needs to tell the police/FBI. Maybe they care, maybe they don't, but that's a serious crime.

Also, did he do this with beer or just bourbon?
How can selling alcohol without a license be "fine"? I don't get that at all.

It appears to just be bourbon. I can't believe how it got over $100k. It's pure insanity. Suckers with money something something.

I just found out today that you can apparently buy the colored foil seals (used on Van Winkle bottles and others) on various online websites. Seems like that's a bad idea (although it's probably up to the bourbon producers to come up with a different method of sealing bottles) and would make faking bourbon really easy. A lot of these bottles don't get opened and are just held as trophies/investments, or if they were opened the people drinking them don't know what the liquid "should" taste like. Appearance is also no real issue.

That's the sketchiest thing I've heard in a long time. I've bought one bottle for 115$ online and I won't be buying any more. Good thing my buddy just got a job at a huge liquor store in SC!

What websites?

Asking for a friend.

What's the secondary market like for IPA 4-pack tickets?

Also, need to know how one brews with ice cream cones. Which janky hypefest of a brewery is it this time?

Nice typo, MooseLang

RAR Brewing in MD. They mashed in with 1,000 waffle cones. Two different varieties of vanilla bean. 7.3% DIPA. Told a friend that I would snag him some.

Not sure if you will believe this or not in Beer2017, but these tickets sold out.

It's called ******* "RAR". Just amazing. With a name like that, it's got to be good.

Stands for Real Ale Revival.

Don't think they intended for it to sound like "rare"

But they have jumped on the 16 oz can DIPA releases bandwagon so it is fitting.

Not sure which is a worse name. They make good beer, at least.

I used to rag on breweries doing the 16oz can releases. But from a business standpoint, how could you not if you're a brewery in 2017? I ******* hate them, but it's dumb not to.
