And here I always thought that gout was something that went away in the 30s, or maybe was something that old people got...y'all need to visit the getting healthy thread.

mine flared most often when i was much heavier.

now that i've shed 60, don't drink soda and have substituted it for water..... it happens far, far, less frequently. been more than a year now. hopefully that's the last ******* time.

Seriously, that's awesome!
 
I used to have a problem with that. Getting out of bed in the morning was excruciating. I took a drug that you can't get anymore because it was causing strokes, thankfully I didn't have narm.
I got really expensive orthotics, and it fixed itself fairly quickly. First thing in the morning was bad, as was end of the day. Getting from the basement up to bed was the worst.
 
Walked into a random liquor store in Casper Wyoming to pick up what I thought would just be a six pack of some random halfway but not quite decent beer.

Nope.
Walked out $65 poorer due to actually have lambic and shockingly Abyss Rye in decent quantities. I now have a must stop shop on my way through.
