JWB Eastbound & Down tastes exactly like if you smoked a fat cigar to completion then puked in your own mouth. Stomach acid level sour burn combined with a burnt coffee taste that equates to stale burnt tobacco. Impressively awful. Like this-must-be-a-joke level bad.

Liked for "smoked a fat cigar to completion".

Simple answer would just be that the price is a typo. I checked, they're all priced that way.

Then I thought maybe whoever used the price gun didn't realize it set to the wrong price, so asked the cashier if the price is right. He said yes.

This same place is now selling Hopslam for $22.99. By comparison, I suppose that's a damn steal!!

this. god what a mess. a true wtf beer.

Is that good or bad? Sounds bad?
I...don't know. The super hoppy beers tend to be balanced by an equally robust malt backbone, but this beer had none of that sweet finish.

So imagine something like a really dank, resinous Ruination with a clean finish. It almost tastes like iced hop extract.

Since when is the type of barrel that a beer is aged in become considered an adjunct?

Is it because barrel aging isnt necessary for it to be a beer so bourbon barrels are now considered adjuncts? Or is bourbon the adjunct or are people just dumb and im overthinking this?

You seeing this being discussed anywhere in particular? Like some BJCP guidelines ******** or something along those lines?

No.... it was a comment on untappd by what I thought was a well informed person. He was dick making a beer saying "adjunct overkill" but the beer doesnt have any adjuncts unless you are talking about the oak barrel it was aged in.

Even then, how can it be considered "adjunct overkill" if there's only one adjunct?
