One rendition is 100% aged in Rye Whiskey casks, and the other in 100% aged in Cognac barrels.

Aww. I kind of liked how Deschutes didn't really do limited bottle releases (though I suppose it remains to be seen how limited they are).

So I bought a rare today from some guy I saw in line on Black Friday. When I came home, I noticed that the bottle appears to have been recapped because the crown is not even all the way around like it is on all the other bottles of BCBS I got and the paint is slightly scratched on the crown where it is not even.

Serves me right for buying on the secondary market? Not sure what to think about it.

Doesn't the box have a small sticker seal on it? I saw one in all the photos.

Yes, but the sticker can be peeled up to open the box. They should have used a better sticker that could not be peeled so easily.

But seriously if you're too scared to drink it, you might as well troll with it. Video yourself dumping it down the drain, mixing it with Bud Light, whatever. I recommend the butt chug but y'know we all have our preferences.

Drink it. At best, it's BCBS which people still enjoy, and at worst, you wake up naked in the bathroom with a sore butthole and a salty taste in your mouth.

Apparently Fedex doesn't let you change your delivery address until you've lived at the new location for at least 90 days? So I guess I won't be able to request holds or whatever through my Fedex account for three. whole. *******. months.

You can still do it with or without logging in to your account (I moved in June & went through the same thing). If I remember correctly, I just used the FedEx site, put in tracking #, requested the hold like always & it added an extra step of asking for the original delivery address for confirmation. Something like that. I did this at least a dozen times before I was able to add my new address to my account & never had an issue.

Agreed, beerman is being way too nice. This guy knowingly and admittingly deceived you for what I'm guessing is not a small amount of money. Screw that guy, make use of the fact that you have his number and get your money back or get revenge.

Yes, this happened. I imagine there are more sophisticated fakers where it's harder to tell that they recapped it too.

Is the tarnished paint on the cap in more than just this one area?

No, the scratched paint is only on that side and you might be able to see in that pic that the area where the scratched paint is is closer to the bottle than the rest of the cap (the crown is compressed where the scratched paint it). The pic isn't that important, but he asked for a pic. You could see and feel the difference better in person.
