I think it's crazy that people have enough time on their hands to pursue $40 refunds from out of town breweries for infected beers that they traded for (i.e., that they didn't even purchase themselves).

Amen.

Call me crazy (or stupid), but I felt bad getting my refund for the infected Bourbon County Coffee / Barleywine in 15 (and I didn't do it for the regular bottles of which I probably still have about 10 that I've never checked date codes on). I want good breweries to push the boundaries and experiment / innovate (preferably without making their beer look like chicken soup or adding seafood / hamburgers / cake mix to the process...), and as a result I feel that the consumer isn't owed something if the beer gets infected.

The market will take care of places that do that consistently, or it will force breweries to change their process (Bruery / Central Water being two great examples).

If I happen to buy 6 CASES of an adjunct barrel aged imperial stout (Oddside Barrel Aged Mayan Mocha jumps to mind), and I sit on them for a year when they start turning, that's on the consumer in my opinion.

*off soapbox*

Legit it was close, he was on a pretty remote island and it took them a couple hours to get back to the hospital on Maui. Bent over packing up the cooler when it went off, a couple inches lower it would have opened his neck up. For being unlucky, he's really lucky.

That's crazy. Sounds like they were on Lanai or Molokai. Wouldn't be surprised to see this on the local news lol

Is Abrasive still better than 100% of these hype boi ******** IPAs? It’s been a few years since I’ve had a can.

They ****** up a canning run of it two years ago, low carb and flat. Then last year they changed something about the recipe, for which I am struggling to find what. These last two years I have not found abrasive impressive.

But that is just like my opinion...
