Quick question about lactose...

Is it a fermentable? I am pretty sure its not, but I never remember what sugars are and what sugars are not. Thanks for the help.
 
brewing yeast is not able to ferment lactose at all. there might be some wild yeast that can eat it, but ale and lager yeasts will not.

Thanks. That's what I thought. Know of any good resources about different sorts of sugars used in brewing?
