Quick question about lactose...

Is it a fermentable? I am pretty sure its not, but I never remember what sugars are and what sugars are not. Thanks for the help.

brewing yeast is not able to ferment lactose at all. there might be some wild yeast that can eat it, but ale and lager yeasts will not.

Lactobacteria & Cultured Cabbage Juice - Be very afraid!

This little bugger is a common problem in breweries. Also an important part of sour dough bread and yogurt. Not good in beer.
