I'm sorry if a thread already exists for this. I couldn't find one.

I was brewing a kit beer last night (brewers best, "Mexican Cerveza") and I suppose to add rice syrup solids at the beginning of the boil. I didn't realize my mistake until I had about 3 minute left. I added it anyway and gave the boil an extra 5 min.
OG was supposed to be 1.047 - 1.051. I got 1.060.
I wondering what to expect.

You handled it perfectly. The only differences you might see is in the amount of bitterness extracted from the hops (higher gravity wort extracts less bitterness), and you might get less darkening of the wort during the boil. Lots of recipes have you add the syrups/sugars at the end of the boil.

Thanks. That makes me feel better. This will be my first keg batch.
Do you have any advice on carbonation? No sugar just co2? Do I need to cold crash it before introducing the co2? Anything else you might feel important.
