Hey All,
I plan on making a few fruit beers that I'm going to add to secondary. Most of the fruits I was unable to find organic. Is it safe to use the non-organic store bought fresh fruit? I just want to make sure nothing strange happens during secondary fermentation to the pesticides or herbicides. Thanks!

Yeah, you'll be fine. Wash it well then take the fruit and sanitize it by pureeing with vodka. Else you risk a infection from the bacteria inside the fruit (personal experience).

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear! I've already rinsed them off with some tap water and stuck them in the freezer. How much vodka do you typically puree with? I'm making small batches, so I don't want to over-vodka the batch
