so i am planing to start soldering some half inch couplers and half couplers into my keggles and i noticed that in almost all cases people are soldering the very end of the coupling to the kettle wall and leaving the most of it sticking out. is there any reason to not solder the coupling in the middle with equal amounts inside and out of the kettle?

Thanks for the responses guys. I have read the entire soldering thread over a few times, i couldnt remember reading anything about that. I did give the dip tube thing some consideration and i will be going with a side pick up when build. until now i have always used a center pick up. I wouldn't be as concerned with being able to clean it seeing as the system i have been using is a weldless bulkhead sticking into the inside.
