First time working with pumpkin this past October. We made a partial mash, and then were really busy and just now am getting around to hopefully bottling it. Today I opened up the primary, and noticed a light gray film almost across the top. Never seen something like it, so my guess is it went bad, but thought I'd check here before dumping it.

Another vote for tasting!

If you used any form of pumpkin then it brings a lot of extras to the table. I had double the amount of trub in primary, and several mold islands in secondary. I bottled it, aged it, and drank more than the prescribed amount during the Thanksgiving (USA version) holiday. Aside from a touch of a hangover, no ill effects. If your beer has alcohol in it and tastes good all you have to worry about is having too little.

/need to make another batch of pumpkin!
