For those that are trying to get their magnets to work here's the way mine was set up. I posted a link a few pages back but some haven't seen this yet. I've also been able to slip some spacers in between these so it doesn't use as many magnets.

Man I'm sorry I didn't see this question asked. I've never measured the pull force but I have tried to add washers in between each magnet just to take up space and use less of them and it didn't work so well. I also tried one stack of magnets and that would only attract on side of the stir bar so that pretty much sucked. It also can be tough to center the stir bar the way I have it pictured above sometimes. It just might work even better by creating a little space between the 2 stacks and use 5 minute epoxy to hold them.
From what I've seen with my own starters is that there is NO need to pull a vortex at all anyway. Shake the wort to aerate it then simply mix at 400rpm for a day or two to keep them yeasties moving and it works like a charm.
Well I it's been a long time since I got mine. So here it is.... Thanks !!!!!!
Not sure how to embed a video so here's a link.

Nice one tbel! I hope to get more soon! Now can you fill in some details?
What magnets did you use?
Stir bar size?
What rpm were you running in the video?
I ran it on 600rpm to aerate but on 200rpm to keep the yeast moving for 2 days.![]()
Attached is my video and a pic of my magnets. The noise is due to my 6L flask not having an even bottom.
