So I got this porter that I've been sitting on in a secondary for some time. I was going to try to bottle today but I'm trying to save my DME for my next beer and I don't want to use cane sugar cuz I've read some bad thing about it.
Am I going to funk my beer up if I add 1 cup of maple syrup to one quart of water, boil and go from there?
The porter was semi-intended for Xmas gifts so if it's god awful I can just punt it off to my loved ones and closest friends.
