I'm sure it's ok, but I just need confirmation...

I was getting ready to bottle last night and prepared my priming solution, then got sidetracked and wasn't able to do the deed. Solution sat overnight in a pan on the stove, loosely covered with tinfoil. My thought is just to head it back up to boiling, cool again and use it.

Objections?

Problem solved itself. Little bug found it's way to my sugar water and drowned in the night. I'm making up fresh priming solution now.

Wow- fruit flies already, I guess?

I'm making a crabapple wine right now, with just a towel over the fermenter and I made a sticky mess on the outside of the fermenter. I just said to Bob, "Well, at least there aren't any fruitflies out yet!"

Haven't had that happen. This bottling session, the worst I had to deal with was the farking cat trying to get in the middle of everything. Finally had to lock her in a bedroom.

A couple of nights ago I knocked the pot of boiling sugar water off the stove and all over the stove/floor/kitchen. I added about 45 minutes to my bottling session by stopping to pull out the stove and clean all the hot sticky mess up. Good time.
