I don’t play with any of you and only doing one league this year as life is busy and can’t manage as many as I used to but pretty pumped with my starters in my 12 team or league. Let’s hope the giants defense is as improved as I think they are. You can tell from my roster I’m expecting a big turn around from them. lol

I think Pitt is going to be the surprise of the season. Metcalf could be a monster this year.

So... Temp check after week 2...

How is it going?

I mean obviously, Mr IPA and Mrs Blonde is just killin' it. Sole first place, top scorer, etc... Pretty much performing to expectations, IMVHO. A bit worried that I might be nursing a lead in week 3 going into MNF and then have to sit and watch Lamar Jackson in what very well might be a shootout against Detroit, on the opposing roster... That's the kind of thing that scares you even if you're up 50 going into MNF...

Things I see:

  • Brockstars looking tough, 2nd leading scorer so far, and just had the positive luck that the backup RB he's got (Jordan Mason) is going to take over starting duties for at least the next 4 weeks as Aaron Jones just went on IR.
  • Patronus off to a worse start than they deserve after putting up solid outings but facing >150 point teams in both of the first two weeks.
  • Yeast Mode looking good... Who invited this guy? :D
  • @TallDan almost gave me the ability to post two Lebowski-themed posts in a row as he went from the top scorer in week 1 to a mere 1.18 points above being the bottom scorer in week 2.
  • Big Gulps... Oof! First rounder (Jeanty) disappointing so far. 3rd rounder (Burrow) now injured for who knows how long. 2nd rounder (Chase Brown) likely negatively impacted by the Burrow injury despite being the Cincy bellcow. Ugh. That's just... Painful.
  • 10 of 12 teams are .500... Not something I expected to see lol...

What narratives are you all taking away so far?

Yep. Saw that coming.

Sure didn't help that Coneheads had Lamar stacked with Andrews... Who had been hot garbage through 2 weeks (2.9 combined points) and then caught two TDs and threw down 27.10.

Not sure if you saw it but you had a fraction of the lead with under two minutes left. Gibbs ran it into the end zone leaving time for Lamar to rack up the win. Goff was pleading for him to kneel down. Not Coneheads :)

I knew it was close, but we were just getting everything cleaned up after dinner and making kids' lunches (West Coast, so the games are earlier here)... I walk out into the living room just in time to see the 2nd Andrews TD and immediately knew I was screwed; but I wasn't sure if I had the lead before that play or not...

I was getting a nice adrenaline rush and dying to go to bed
