That's a great name!

So... How about everyone (who wants to) self-rate your own draft. Where did things go well? Where did you miss, or someone snake someone right before your pick?

For me:
  • Round 1: With who was available, I wanted to go WR. I would have taken Bijan or Gibbs, but they were gone. The question came to me: Puka or ARSB? I've had ARSB before and I trust him, but something in my gut told me "Puka". With Kupp gone to Seattle, I think he's going to be the guy. So I trusted my gut on this one.
  • Round 2: I used to ignore TE, but I've come around to the idea that if you can get a top TE, it can be worth it. Catching Bowers in the middle of the second seemed great. But it was risky, as I passed up some pretty talented RBs that were available, including Jonathan Taylor who was taken one pick after mine. Thankfully I feel like I got some good RBs in rounds 4 and 6, so hopefully spending up on TE will work out.
  • Round 5: Mrs Blonde and I have a disagreement on QB... She wants a premier QB. I often feel more comfortable waiting. She wanted me to take Josh Allen but he was already gone by my pick in the 3rd, and I wasn't going to reach in the 2nd. By round 5 she was getting antsy about the lack of a QB, and Mahomes was still sitting right there. I thought it was a good value by that point. I had been hoping for Alvin Kamara who was dropping relative to where I thought his ADP should be, and would have been an absolute steal in the 5th IMHO, but he was taken by Yeast Mode 3 picks before me.
  • Round 6: I was sitting there comparing my ADP charts to what was happening, and Chuba Hubbard had been going mid-4th... And I'm sitting there mid-6th and he's still available? He and Conner are largely projected around the RB18-20 range, and getting that kind of value in the mid 6th is impossible to pass up.
  • Round 11: Felt like I needed another RB. Quinshon Judkins was also falling quite a bit (which I realized after the draft was due to legal issues). But he's potentially a league winner if he clears all that up and takes the lead back role. Of course, as you might have seen if you're following transactions, I've actually acquired Dylan Sampson to handcuff Judkins if his situation goes south.
  • Round 14: Second handcuff--grabbed Rico Dowdle in case something Chuba doesn't pan out at his value, or gets injured. Needed some insurance at the RB position as I'm happy with Conner/Hubbard, but didn't have the depth I usually like at that position.

Overall for someone that didn't put in my usual pre-draft research/prep, I think it came out pretty well. I think I've got a pretty well-rounded roster, and I grabbed some lotto ticket pieces in later rounds that I think offer me a HELL of a lot of upside if they hit.

I don’t play with any of you and only doing one league this year as life is busy and can’t manage as many as I used to but pretty pumped with my starters in my 12 team or league. Let’s hope the giants defense is as improved as I think they are. You can tell from my roster I’m expecting a big turn around from them. lol

Still can't believe you didn't take Josh Allen 1.01...

BTW my son met and got a picture with Josh Allen earlier this year while volunteering at the Hoag Classic senior golf tour event in Newport Beach...
Allen = clutch performance tonight.
Chase (1.01) = what the hell? Com’on Cincy!!

I think Pitt is going to be the surprise of the season. Metcalf could be a monster this year.
