Was going to use powder sugar in my brew but if itssame as table sugar why bother.

Is this for carbonation? Yes, it's the same as far as I know. Powdered Sugar is just more finely ground. Corn sugar, for bottle priming, is presumably made from corn syrup, and is more easily eaten by the yeast, but I've been told if you boil table sugar long enough, it will break down to the simple sugars needed to bottle.

Table sugar is sucrose (disaccharide) and is made from sugar cane. It can be used for priming, but I have been told that it can lead to a 'cidery' off flavor. Corn sugar or dextrose, is more widely used for priming as it is a mono-saccharide that the yeast can readily use.

Powdered sugar or confectioners sugar is table sugar (sucrose) that has been finely ground down with corn starch added to prevent clumping. I don't think that you would want corn starch in your beer.

was going to use it int he brewing part. I know rock candy is regular sugar that went through changes. Just checking to see is powder sugar is just smashed table sugae.
