I was searching the net for a potato beer and stumbled across this guy: http://brewery.org/library/Potato.html

Meister Potato Brau (for 5 gallons)

5 pounds 6-row domestic barley malt, crushed
2.5 pound grade A Idaho potatoes (washed and grated)
3 pounds M&F pale unhopped malt extract
1/3 oz Burton salts
1 tsp. Irish Moss
1.25 oz Hallertauer leaf hops
1 oz Cascade leaf hops
ale yeast
sugar (or whatever) for priming

Has anyone tried it before? Does anyone have any feedback?

You know I've been wanting to try this out for s**ts and giggles for a while now. From what I've read potatoes won't add much in the flavor department. I believe it will act like other adjuncts: lightens the body of the beer a little without added flavor.

Slice your potatoes into chips (more surface area than cubed/diced/etc.) Then boil them until soft and add to mash tun when you dough in.
