possible wort chiller

I have about 30 feet of used (natural gas) 1/2 inch copper pipe. the outside of the pipe look like new. But I don`t know If I should make a wort chiller out of it because of it being used.

What do you guys think?

As long as it's used as an IC I don't see any problems.

Just make sure you clean up the outside real well. The inside shouldn't matter as it doesn't touch anything but water that you'll run down the drain.

Boil it for a while, with as much vinegar and salt as you can. A gallon of vinegar and a bunch of salt should cost you about 3 bucks, and it will clean the copper surface to a shiny brand-new looking finish with nearly no effort.
