I know about the Sabco(sp) Brew Magic - Very perrrrrty but very expensive. Are there any other vendors that offer a brew rig of sorts? (Pretty much turnkey)

I *would* work on building my own rig, but my problem is I get so far into a project and find something else to get into. (My car is a classic example)

Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks

Yeah, it looks as if those are my only 2 options at this point (which makes a simpler DIY project look that more appealing)
Thanks for the input!

Or the new Blichmann stand, you can see it at there website and any Blichmann dealer should be able to get it for you.

There are quite a few options if you do some digging. Work your google-foo young padawan.

I have been, but I guess my Google-Foo skills are lacking or I am asking too much for too little :)

Sure there are turnkey solutions out there, but it appears that I am going to have to attempt to piece my rig together in an effort to not have to file for divorce afterwords. :p
Hmmmm... We still havent committed to the priv8 schooling option just yet...
Thanks guys

ive been down this road...i ended up building my own(sorry no pics)

here it is:

call a local welding shop ask em to build a rectangle/cube--insert your dimensions--- ask for a price with square tubing..i used 1.5 in came out really nice, then i had a buddy tig weld it but thats not needed ....so my steel bill was 40 feet or so cost$69 ..now if you where to have it built you have to pay labor$$ what ever the shop bills.. add your thee burners i assume your looking for a single tier...go buy three burners with legs and cut em off ..bayou classics thats what i got...then have em welded into the frame of the rig and then buy a pump or two! tubeing and them make a manifold for you propane so you can run three burners off one tank ...oh and add some casters so you can move it... ive got about 800 or so into my rig..thats with pots and pump...

Hmmmmm... This sounds almost doable. I have welding resources and such so the frame shouldnt be an issue. Where did you pick up your pots? Im from what I have been seeing it would be just about that much for a set of decent pots (with therm and sightglass) But then again, if it was single tiered I wouldnt need a sight glass
Hmmmmmm, Im almost thinking of going 3tier because of storage purposes. I already have the chassis of my car pretty much taking up all of my garage space. :)
Thanks for the input people!

got my pots from williamsbrewing.com 8gal SS pots with 1/2 valve for 79bucks i use two off em one for my boil and one for hot water and the i a keggel/mash tun..

3 tiered huh well each to his own but then you need a step ladder and a really level place to brew.. i like the single tier with a drop boil like the brew magic, but for other reasons i went with a single tier, it offers more expandability like going to bigger batches...i dont like the idea of 15 gal of water boiling above my head...just me tho....as far as space i tuc mine under a work bench l leave the pots right and its out of the way..

There is another option. In the Sabco parts section you can just buy the frame with burnersw and gas rail/valves for $949.

I had considered this.

Brew-Magic Frame

Thats what I did. I was too lazy to weld up a stand. It is well built and you can brew using Natural Gas or Propane.

Seriously, with all the help here, build it yourself. It's fun and you made it. 3 tier is what I built, wish I had built a single tier! That top tier with the height added to he top of the HLT is a pain in the patootie! Good luck

It looks as is this is going to become my next brew project, and I guess this is kind of normal in the 'stages' of the average homebrewer. Like all other brewjects I have played with in the past, its getting less and less intimidating. I still remember being scared ****less of going AG because it seemed so complicated and scary. Now I can sit and laugh about how silly that thought process was (for me). I think the same thing is happening with this rig idea. All of the little hoses, pumps, disconnects etc are all starting to make sense as to how it fully functions when its in use. (And further understanding the brewing process definitely helps too!)
This makes is less intimidating to take on as a task. :)

Well, guess I need to start PLANNING my build - thats the first step. I might even ask the SWMBO if she has any input (even though she doesnt drink) This might make it easier to get a lil extra $$$ for the project ;)
