I would like to do an American light beer for the wifey.

Not really sure where you're going with that.

If you're trying to mimic some commercial beer I'd go with something like a Cream Ale or an adjunct Lager if you have the capability.
 
I’m not sure about the “Light “ part, but it looks like if you dropped the ABV a little, you would have a nice easy drinking session beer.
 
I don't really understand your hop additions. If you have .5 ounce at 60 minutes and then 3.1 ounce at 15 minutes I think you are going to have a VERY bitter beer. Have you put this through a calculator like Beersmith or Brewer's Friend?
 
What brand of beer does your wife like?
The recipe shown will produce a regular strength ale, not but not what I would expect an "American Light" beer to be.
Ever had a British Mild Ale? That might be a good place to start.
 
This recipe does not strike me as light. If you seek bud/coors light if I am correct you will need rice or corn to thin the body and less grain.
 
I agree with the above. It will not turn out to be a light beer. First thing I see 9.1% Caramel Pils which is a non-fermentable malt. That amount will not give you an American light beer more like a sweet Blonde Ale. Dextrin type malts rule of thumb is no more than 5%. Briess and other malters websites say they are meant to be used at 2-3%. For an American light I'd add flaked rice or flaked corn. They will help keep the beer light and aid head retention.
 
Search beer smith and other online places for tried recipes for this type of brew and you’ll see where you may need tweaking
